Investigations, especially, an ultrasound may detect conditions like ovarian cysts and fibroids, and we would discuss if these conditions need treatment, and if so the type of treatment.

A ‘lump down below’ is a problem that afflicts many, and may be associated with bladder and bowel difficulties, and we are there to help. The lump is mostly due to prolapse, and can affect women at any age although more common in those over their fifties.

Some women may have a family history of breast or uterine cancer and may request more regular check-ups, while others may opt for an annual gynaecological check-up without a family history.

Menopause and its symptoms can be very troublesome, and we will discuss with women their concerns and address these to their satisfaction. Any bleeding or spotting after menopause is not normal, and needs immediate attention.
